Preventing attacks is dependent upon good intelligence, or good old fashioned, 007, spying. MrLucky, it is what you know and when you know it that is prophylactic. Another point in which we agree. Unfortunately, clinton decimated the intelligence service and Bush did not help by keeping clinton's CIA chief in place. BTW, Spheres your notion about diplomacy is not valid with me. Any casual observer of ME politics will note that diplomacy with terrorists works like spitting into the wind. You find them. You kill them. either with air, sea or surface power. I assume that you would agree it is also the terrorists' their self-professed mantra. Kill all christians and jews.
