there is no doctrine of mutually assured destruction that can work here. I 100% agree. Therefore, you agree that this is a different war! You must realize that until the last decade, ok, 20 years, I have lived with WWll ideology and mentoring. What I grew up with (the Cold War) was a technical war, not an actual combat. To wit, this war in Iraq, is a huge step backward.

If I am to understand your comments, WWll ended in 1989, and everything in-between was sorting out the established peace. Is Iraq the rumblings of WWll? Or has time compressed and WWll has transformed once again?
