being 43 years old, maybe I should consider myself fortunate (rather than an aberration), that until this Bush's administration, traditional warfare was apparently becoming a thing of the past. IMHO, future generations should not have to consider enlisting, being drafted, or fulfilling a civil requirement as part of their citizenship. I was too young for the Vietnam draft, and the conflicts since then were swift and conclusive.

Go out and visit the world you fear.

Take your kids with you. They need exposure to the broad vision you lack.
