What do you think you owe your country
As I said, I am a Christian before being an American. Our forefathers intended to keep a separation of Church and State, and as an ideology, it still works for me. Currently, the benefits of being Christian far outweigh those of being American. With a Bible in hand, without a passport, I am a free man; a global citizen. The American passport that is filed away, does not grant me this same freedom.
Look KLP, the Constitution was written by down trodden exiles of foreign countries, nobody in the elite imperialistic governments from which they came thought they would succeed. Today, America has grown to become the world’s elite imperialist. Do I owe anything for this? My taxes are paid, and I vote. More importantly, I am an outstanding member of my community. However, when or if terrorism becomes a normal, everyday part of life here in America (like Israel or old Ireland), I am free to move on. Will I fight for American sovereignty? No, my sovereignty lies within the boundaries of a higher authority than any imperialistic bureaucracy can provide.
Please understand that I am very willing to help my fellow Americans, but am adverse to warfare. Indebted to America? Yes, but I contribute as a citizen in every way that I know how. |
