Your post sounds like you are perhaps selfish and self-centered....but that can't be right....can it?

Of course it can KlPy. Is there anything wrong with being a self-centered American? Come on now, what is your net worth? Afterall, this is an investment chat board, no? Bring those dollars home; I have plenty of projects that could use your fund raising skills.

You see, my life currently revolves around my kids. The next 10 years of my life will be spent seeing that they get off to a good start. This includes my time at the local schools, youth sports organizations, community theater, church, and of course I include my wife's contribution to complete the family. We try to be comprehensive in our efforts.

IMHO, we are perfectly capable of getting along, and finding our lot in life no matter where we live. That we happen to be here in CA, USA, is evidence that our ancestors had a tough time in their previous homeland. They did not come here to pay their debt to America; rather, they came to escape from a hungry Ireland, and a shell-shocked, warring Europe. Quite often, when the issue of border security arises, I pause to think... Do these people really understand how they got here in the first place? The America I know is the homeless shelter of the world, and the only thing it ask's for in return is being a good citizen.
