The media ultimately exists to get advertising dollars, but individuals in the media have their own biases. As the society become more and more polarized, there is no middle ground.
By and large, there are more left leaning than right leaning individuals in the MSM. The entire crew at CBS for example were entangled in the forged microsoft word memos and presented them as fact. This is an ugly election, and there will be dirty tricks. Though there have been attempted voter fraud on both sides, I have only seen the media report the ones allegedly done by the Bush camp.
Without too much thought, members of the media accepted the MM tome as fact, without even factchecking it, the same members dismissed Stolen Honor as partisan slander without even watching it.
If you bother to watch Stolen Honor, only a small part is critical of Kerry, the main message in the documentary is that these people, the POWs and the vietnam veterans were men with honor who served their country with dignity, yet through exagerations of a single MyLai incident (the perpetrator was punished) and deliberate falsehoods, they returned to a country that believed they were baby killers. Just think about it, how can we believe than an entire generation of americans can suddenly become psychopathic killers? The answer, almost all of them did not, and only the distortions and lies of the left took their honor away.
The documentary really is about these men standing up and asking the country to return the honor and dignity that is due to them --- that the world must recognize they are not the baby killers, and sadistic monsters that many people said they are.
This is why I ask again. If anyone believes they should not have their honor back, stand up and explain why. |
