Oh, I watched "Stolen Honor."
I found it was very boring.

To be sure, the Bushies put it to good use to help their campaign.

I felt sad not so much for the troops that suffered

for a war which was started on a false premise (The Domino Theory) and escalated in deceit (The Gulf of Tonkin Incident in 1964) and senselesly continued even when common sense dictated otherwise
(because of the hubris of Nixon who didn't want to be the first president in US history to lose a war)

as for a relatively large segment of American society that still harbours prejudice, resentment, hatred and revenge contrary to their Christian beliefs of hope, love, charity and forgiveness. And they say they do all this in the name of honour! It smacks of hypocrisy and it stinks to high heaven! And they seem to pretend that no one ever evolves over the years from the hard knocks in the university of life!
No wonder so many dishonest and dishonourable things are happening these days!

The veterans had nearly 30 years in which to tell their story. As if the world didn't already know that many of them suffered and others died honourably but unfortunately for the colossal mistake and hubris of a couple of their presidents? Why did they choose to tell their story only now? Sounds fishy! Was the time they choose to tell their story opportunely chosen for them for some political agenda? Or have they somehow allowed themselves to become someone else's "useful idiots"?

I don't dispute the fact that honour has to be upheld. But when it is being exploited for some group's nefarious purpose(s), that honour is not only cheapened but degraded. It is a sad commentary on American society that such an exploitation has seen the light of day!
