No, Laz. No riots! Only fun, very good and very great fun! You see, I tend to make people and animals happy when I see them and wherever I go. Think I should go to Iraq perhaps--lol?
Deep down on the polling issue, I think you'll agree with me that today's polls aren't what they used to be. I'd say this even if Kerry were ahead in most polls, instead of just a few. The combo of intensive new voter registration, together with the uncertainty of cell phone polling--heck, I know a dozen folks or more who have only cell phones, don't you?--make current polling not as reliable as it's been in the past. I think pollers and pundits are even admitting this on tv. Some of 'em anyway.
The other unreliable variable are the Diebold voting machines, what with Diebold top dogs firmly entrenched in GOPwinger politics. I think the GOPwingers also control another company that produces voting machines in use--but I don't have their name at the top of my head, and given I've been working a Saturday bottle of rum, I'm not go goin' searching for that name. Similar to what happened in Florida's Volusia County in '01, this kind of behavior could tilt a close election, with or without polling--lol!
Don't forget, it was the GOPwinger terror fears that persuaded many unwitting Americans to go out and buy duct tape that was mostly Republican-owned. So why should I expect that the GOPwingers wouldn't mess with voting?
Have you seen the new Republican voting suppression efforts? Think that's a good way to go for America?
Anyway, it's good to be back online. Although it might be brief as I might be taking my camper south to avoid what lately has been very cold New England winters. Should I do so, I'll give you a heads up so I can pick up my case of Guinness along the way.
Tell me honestly, Laz: Do you think Kerry has a chance of winning? Thanks! |
