Things with Enron got so bad, it couldn't be hidden. Those executives finally did get prosecuted under the Bush term. However, prior to that, Bush actually did provide some help relative to attempting to help Enron connect a proposed Afghanistan pipe from the Caspian Sea into Enron's failing gas plant in India. In fact, the Taliban got greased with over 40 million bucks of US foriegn aid before the pipeline negotiations took place.
