Direct from LB's backyard...via E-mail.

Picked up the Honolulu Advertiser from the table a few minutes ago and got a hell of a surprise for the most liberal state in the country besides Mass. "Hawaii poll; Bush, Kerry in dead heat" (Bush ahead by 1%) this state has always voted democratic. it has been ignored by even the democrats because they know w/o a doubt it's already in their pocket. republican candidates don't give it a second thought because they know for sure that it's a lost cause, so this is a real shocker. Only 4 electoral votes but even that could mean the difference. there's only two reasons I can attribute this to, lots of veterans and military live in Hawaii and the Swift vet ads, God Bless Them. Hawaii even beat Mass. in proposing gay marriage and then just as quickly we voted an amendment to the constitution that banned it, so maybe there's hope for us yet. Hey, doesn't that make us a swing state too? Never mind!
