How many times did the Bush Administration's propaganda arm tell us that we killed Iraq's Chemical Ali? How many times did it tell us we captured him? And how many times were we told that we killed 9/11 Mastermind, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed? How many times were we told that we captured him?
How many times has this same propaganda arm told us that we were close to getting OBL? That we were a week away, a month away or that we'd capture him before year's end?
You see, the problem with these kind of reports is they surface in the face of other bad news, to make it all seem like all is not as bad as might actually appear.
I guess it's sort of like the politician whose always trying to look busy doing something about the war on drugs, even though it's the same war, every day, every way in Everytown USA.
But, hey, from Bush what should we expect? First, he was against going to the United Nations for a resolution, then he was for it; next, he's against establishing a 9/11 Commission, then he's for it; next, he's against establishing a Department of Homeland Security, and then he's for it. Folks, these are not simple issues upon which to waddle on both sides of the fence!
Indeed, "W" = W A D D L E !!! Yes, Bush is a "waddler" and his propaganda machine waddles all over the board. I'm only thankful that the US media has improved with its scrutiny and no longer takes everything that comes from out of his Administration for granted. Indeed, Bush has cried "wolf" too often and has become the least trustworthy president America has seen, certainly since Nixon! |
