Let me see........some kids are a poking a long stick at an Africanized bee hive. The bees start to swarm and the kids run and hide. The bees spot some poor joe plowing in the next field and attack.....killing him. Do you only blame the bees? Are the kids not culpable at all?

Stick to the facts. ~50 new, probably youngish, Iraqi policemen were captured on their way home for vacation, and executed by their captors. Get mad at the captors/killers in this situation, because it is clearly a planned, premeditated, violent action against (probably) their own people. It's not some emotional reaction to the invasion and occupation, its is premeditated, planned murder of the country's youth. Responsibility lies with those who committed the crime.

Stick to the facts? Okay.

The fact that 50 Iraqis were new policeman/soldiers is directly tied to the fact that we invaded Iraq. The fact that the country is rampant with insurgents and terrorists is directly tied to the fact we invaded Iraq. That fact that over 10k Iraqis have been killed is directly tied to our invasion.

Dem are da facts!

Common wisdom tells us that when you poke your nose in other people's business, sh_t happens!

Common wisdon also tells us that when oppressed people are living under a dictator, they want to be freed of his oppression, correct? I don't know that you can find many Iraqis that don't celebrate Saddam's removal.

So what? I am so tired of hearing that old refrain. Deal with the facts...........the country is a disaster and the Iraqis are no more free than they were under Saddam. Women are forced to keep AK-47s to prevent rape and injury. Younger men are killed on a regular basis. Get a clue...........the place is a mess.........the US 'liberation' of Iraq is killing the Iraqis left and right.

Every American should be outraged at what is being done in our name. And every American will pay the price of Bush's folly! There is always a price to be paid for hubris and mendacity!

Well I would say something along the lines of their is a price to pay for Bush's poor planning and worse execution of the post-major combat operations phase in Iraq. It's not hubris (everybody does want to be free, you know. Whether they want to be "liberated" by foreigners is a different question). And, uhmm, I'm not sure exactly what "mendacity" means, so I'll just let that one slide.

As an American, you've gotta support the idea of bringing representative government to the people of the Middle East, it's the process that is highly questionable.

If I thought that really was the goal of the Bush WH.......rep. gov't in the ME........I still would not applaud their efforts. Rarely does a strong negative produce a strong positive. Besides, I am fairly certain now that rep. gov't was not the primary goal for attacking Iraq.

BTW I have asked before.......what is your home state?
