If Kerry is defeated, the story will be dropped. If he is elected, it would tear the country apart if the House held hearings on this subject.

If Kerry wins, he will tear the country apart. He has been trying to do that for 33 years from the back seats.

If Kerry loses, the Democrats will threaten to tear the country apart. After posting a few threats and a little gnashing and gnawing, they will revert to their standard role and become sheeple again.
The Democrats would never do anything for long that might threaten their entitlements.
