$100 Million in State-of-the-Art Biotechnology and Semiconductor Equipment Hits the Auction Block

Everything is going...going...gone at Bandwidth9, a fiber optic component manufacturer and Zyomyx Inc., a bio chip manufacturer

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 2004-- Cowan Alexander, LLC and Asset Reliance International, a leading technology auction and valuation team, today announced the auction dates for Bandwidth9 and Zyomyx, Inc. equipment. These auctions represent over $100 million in original equipment value and feature state-of-the-art biotechnology, semiconductor, optics/laser and electronic test equipment. Additional assets include personal computers, machine tools and office furnishings.

"Auctions of this caliber, with a vast quantity of high-end equipment are few and far between," said Alex Steele, president of Asset Reliance International. "This event represents a tremendous buying opportunity." All equipment will be sold with no minimum bid and no reserve price.

The Bandwidth9 auction will take place November 4, at 10 a.m. PDT at 46410 Fremont Blvd in Fremont, Calif. Auction items will be available for preview and inspection at the Bandwidth9 facility on November 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and November 4, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The Zyomyx auction will run November 9-11, 10 a.m. at 26101 Research Road in Hayward, Calif. An item preview and inspection will take place at the facility on November 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and November 9-11, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Both auctions will be broadcast simultaneously through a WebCast, where auction attendees can bid via the Internet. Photos and information for both auctions are available online at www.cowanalexander.com.

According to Cowan Alexander president, Don Cowan, the Bandwidth9 and Zyomyx equipment auctions come on the heels of the recent Fluke Corporation semiconductor equipment auction, which attracted interest domestically and from Asia and India.
