There are lot's of Bushy supporters in my neighborhood,
and since I have a Kerry sign we sometimes talk about why.

At least here the overwhelming reason for support is Jesus. Many even admit they don't understand why Jesus is leading them down this difficult path, but there is a general teaching that the way to heaven is not easy. They don't think Junior is Jesus, but they think he is possesed with the spirit (has allowed himself to be the vessel of Jesus' intentions).

(P.S. we got visited by a neighbor and all their kids yesterday, It wasn't about Bush, it was about some halloween decorations which they thought might tempt Satan or something. My wife looked at them as if they were completely batty, and said "I guess we won't see you for trick-or-treat then?)
