"...in hindsight I believe it was the right thing to do," Yep... the continued presence of mass-murdering and teritorially aggressive Dictators in the Balkans would have --- arguably --- been even more dangerous for US interests then the same construction in the Middle East.... "but sadly the US got little credit for the endeavor." I actually thought that we got a fair amount of the 'credit' for resolving the situation --- analogous perhaps to the 'credit' we received for opposing the Soviets in Afghanistan in an earlier decade....
