The American Conservative magazine is the redoubt of the Buchananites: those who think that the American Firsters were right about staying out of WWII; some who think that Lincoln was a brutal dictator; those who are suspicious of Jewish influence; and so forth. This may not ultimately disqualify their opinion, but it is worth noting that you are not quoting mainstream conservatives.
