Ted, So then, because they are pawns, its okay to screw them.

The Arabs didn't care at all about the Palestinians until their plight became an anti-Israel PR issue to exploit.

That doesn't change the fact that the Palestinians are people who were promised their own state over 50 years ago.

Meanwhile Arafat isn't exactly making things any better over there, and Hamas continues to spread its doctrine of hatred.

If Arafat wasn't useful to the Israelis, he would have been gone a long time ago. Surprising, huh? Arafat is the perfect foil for Israel. He keeps screwing up and that gives Israel the excuse to maintain the Palestinian status quo while stealing land and water from the West Bank.

No one said the Palestinians ought to be screwed, but the truth is that they're being screwed by all sides. It's not just Sharon, your favorite "Zionist" whipping boy.

Sharon has almost all the keys and holds the power; hence, he gets 90% of my blame.

Well, then, if Israel has 'the right' to prevent the freedom of the Palestinians, then they need to stop complaining every time one of their buses blows up!

I think Israel is doing more than just "complaining." Come to think of it, you wouldn't be complaining if all Israel did was "complain."

Yes, I would be........I am tired of US $$$ maintaining a regional superpower.
