Come on. He gave it more of a shot than anyone previously. The election did most of the dividing. After all, you had Ted et al claiming he wasn't _their_ president even before he was sworn in.

He threw you guys bones with no child left behind, the medicare bill and many others, yet you won't give him any credit for doing so.

Frankly, I would have rather seen him eliminate the federal department of education (it's a state job), so he wasn't doing that for me, yet he get's no credit for reaching out.
