Hi PB,
Re: The good done by our troops appreciated, the politicians not.
Hmm, not that I care to hear the arguments for naked aggression again, but rhetorically, what good did the troops do in Iraq?
Water, sewerage, electricity and gasoline/fuel refining are all at considerably lower levels of service than before the neo-colonialism started in March, 2003. Not that these basic necessities were in abundance prior to that due to the immoral sanctions regime.
There is abundant evidence of increased anarchy and mayhem across the country, something the troops seem to exacerbate rather than ease.
To my jaded eye, it appears that the only people profiting from the invasion were the actual invaders. People like the executives at Halliburton, Bechtel and the handful of Republican party criminals who infest the contracting offices at the Department of Death, etc.
The U.S. Army hasn't profited. The British Army has not profited. The American people haven't profited, and are now paying some of the highest fuel costs in history. To the scurrilous invaders.
The way I see it, the troops were played for chumps in this game.
Follow the money.

The American people are being bilked, and the Department of Death is rolling over. This is truly disgusting. Halliburton should be terminated for fraud, not rewarded for for it. |
