DagneyT Is correct. I am 63 and I will never forget it. We were under orders not to respond to any action by protesters and we were not allowed to express our views in any manner. We were not allowed interviews or opinions and if you said anything you were shouted down. I have seen soldiers spit on, called baby killers, murders, and taunted beyond belief just to get a response. We were defeated but not on the battle field, check the satistics. We were defeated by a left liberal political movement composed of congress, Fonda, Heyden, Kerry, and the college elite. Congress for the votes and the rest because of the misguided views of thir liberal teachers and education. When Kerry first appeared on the scene I think that the Vets. reaction was who is this looney tune. A rich guy with long stringy hair in a dirty field jacket that looked like he had been sleeping in a alley for a week. Who is going to believe his lies. This guy was an officer!! What happen to him? Was he a POW? No, he was a imposter and the public believe him and his band of liberals and we were defeated without a murmer. The distortion of history in my lifetime is incredible and I have accepted the fact that those who scream the loudest and lie the most get to write it. You should never forget that this county was settled by young people that sought freedom, and had a vision for the future. Think about the young couples, girls 11 years old and boys of 14 taking a wagon across the country to build a better life. No time outs when attacked by Indians, no Burger Kings, and no health care. I once visited the Texas Ranger Hall and was suprised to find out that in the 1800's the avg. age of a texas ranger was 15 years old. Now you can't leave a 12 year old at home alone without being charged with child abuse. After spending billions of dollars on education why do we now have more illiterate people percentage wise than we had in the 1920's? Would that change if the parents had to go to counselling with the kid every night for a month if the kid was late or absent without being excused and if the kid had less than a B avg? I don't understand all the screaming over 1000 soldiers being killed who volunterred to fight for their country when it is safer to fight there than it is to walk the streets in parts of this country. We have 35,000 die every year because they are too lazy to take their flu shots and now scream because they didn't support the companies that made the vaccine. We have over 40,000 people that die every year from obesity and wreck the healthcare system. Why do we not tax them as we do smokers for the burden they put on the system? Did you know that a very smart judge in the 1890's said that our democracy would fail as soon as the people learned to vote themselves money? Did you know that lawyers were banned from service in the congress and senate because they would corrupt the system? Whatever happened to logic and the great thinkers of past times? Far left leaning liberals will not fight for this or any other country. They will simply use the masses and position themselves for the spoils. They lack the vision necessary for the future and are only interested in their "fair share" which is achieved by political power and legal wars. They take it from the producers and it will get worse before it gets better. No I will not vote for Kerry and I would not serve under him either. I don't think he will get full support from the military if he is elected. Comanders may not be heard but they have long memories. |
