You enjoy facts, apparently. Try these on for size:

Ronald Reagan was quite happy to do deals directly with Saddam Husayn, hidden from scruitiny by the international community, even as Husayn was building up his stockpiles of WMD. Reagan made it possible for Husayn to get some of the materials and equipment in the first place. Reagan did a lot more in his time, but we'll save those relevant facts for another day.

Specific to "weapons of mass destruction, nuclear flavored and otherwise":

- Reagan / Rumsfeld were happy to suggest Husayn do a deal on an oil pipeline through Jordan, knowing full well at the time that Husayn was gassing Iranians with CW WMD, confirmed for the Sec. State on Nov 1 1983.

- Reagan's state department, while the chemical warfare story was breaking around the world, were happy to export "dual use" equipment and materials to non-nuclear entities in Iraq, knowing full well that they would be transhipped to Iraq's nuclear establishment.

- Reagan's state department were happy to export "dual use" equipment and materials *directly* to *nuclear entities* in Iraq, because it was just silly not to, but wanted to wait until the international furor over Iraq's use of CW WMD died down.

Those enough facts for you?
