The Bush admin believed only what they want to believe. They cherry picked. They repeated falsehoods. They repeated discredited and "debunked" theories.

The circumstantial evidence indicting the Bush administration in going to war on falsehoods is FAR stronger than the circumstantial case they built against Iraq. Think about that.

Frankly, truthfully, I wish all this were not so. It would have been much better for the world if every farfetched claim of Bush / Cheney / Rice / Powell had proven true.

However, we all know this is not so and not to be. And when Bush is defeated, and the truth comes out -- really out -- it will split the nation apart and further damage America in the eyes of the world.

I will not leave blinders on like Bush apologists and ideologically rigid conservatives. Thinking conservatives will have to pick up the pieces, later. Much later.
