Hi, X! And everyone else who sent me messages since I went away. I just stopped back by after several years, and wondered what is happening around here.

American politics has certainly changed--Bill Clinton's excesses seem relatively harmless now, don't they? I saw a bumper sticker yesterday that said something like "When Clinton Lied, No One Died" and next to it, another one that said "If you're not totally appalled, you're not paying attention" or something similar (my short-term memory is not what it used to be).

There is plenty that is very scary in the big world. Of course everyone I knew at SI is several years older now, and perhaps some people I enjoyed here are gone for good.

How is everyone feeling lately?
