Inquiry Launched Into Cell Phone Tech Leak to China's Utstarcom , 10.26.04, 10:38 AM ET Asia Pulse Pte Ltd SEOUL, Oct 26 Asia Pulse - South Korean prosecutors said Tuesday that they have launched an investigation into the alleged leakage of mobile phone technology by Hyundai Syscomm Co. to China's UTStarcom Inc. Prosecutors said some executives from Hyundai Syscomm, which makes wireless communications equipment, are suspected of orchestrating illegal cash transactions in return for selling intellectual property relating to code division multiple access (CDMA) to UTStarcom.
