I think you may be right although I think the speed of the intitial move showed the fear of shorts covering. RE: did I get long. Yes and no. I've been long my core holdings mostly telcom fiber plays which should benefit if this move is for real but I've had those on for a few months. Missed buying the index calls but caught some of the move trading the emini but alas I only trade that short term and small just to keep me focused. I've left some change on the ground but if this move is for real there will be other entry points unless we just go vertical. I still think there could be some election hiccups, but it's looking good for Bush. I also agree that the hedgefunds were mostly Kerry supporters and probably have been big part in the oil rise which why loaning some more oil from the reserve war was a neat trick. Maybe all those hedgefunds were also shorting the market and covered at once. Congrats to those who stepped up and got long, it's looking good. Back over the 200 day.
