Fine, then let's talk about your assertion that the "real" reasons for Iraq aren't for the public to understand. "First, what are the real reasons. Second, why can't the "public" be trusted to know such reasons. Third, can we respect a functioning democracy when the foundation of that democracy is a deliberate and orchestrated attempt on the part of it's duly elected government to lie about the purposes and bases upon which it sends its citizens to kill and die in its name?

As for me, I'm not willing to try to conjure up "good reasons" for going to war in Iraq to justify a bad judgement on the part of an American president. Ed
