30 Million Skype downloads coming up right now skype.com Very impressive. Downloads are currently running at 10,000 an hour or more [I'll do a count]. Old time telecom companies in big trouble. Skype and Livedoor [Japan] have announced Skype is now going in Japan. skype.com SkypeOut, with calls terminated to landlines and USA mobile phones for US2c a minute is a big problem for ye olde telecom companies. I can sit here and chat to Tarken [our son] [working at Livedoor in Japan] for no cost per minute. Skype phones are now coming out: pcphoneline.com They can be used in apartments, offices, hotels, or on the street connected via USB to a PDA or notebook computer if they can download and run Skype. Tarken told me Livedoor is gung-ho on Skype now. The contract is signed and the website is up: skype.livedoor.com There's a link in the livedoor.com site too. Niklas, the Skype founder/boss skype.com went to Japan to jointly announce it with Horie, the Livedoor owner/boss it.nikkei.co.jp Tarken says Horie is a really good guy. He is very impressed.
