No wonder my great niece and her husband could not find an apartment to lease under twelve hundred dollars in Destin. I believe those on the base received some damage and not fixed up yet. He just returned from North Korea this summer and is stationed there. She and her son are staying with her Mother until he can find something suitable for them that they can afford and maybe waiting until housing on the base is available. I believe he is a Sargent and don't know what his allowance is for housing. She is still working here and trying to save up some money to help them get settled there. She went over there before and after the hurricanes hit to visit and says she hopes they never have to experience one while they are stationed there.
