Bush Campaign Jumps the Shark
The latest accusation from the Bush campaign:

Jumping to conclusions will put our citizens into danger.

Here's Bush on the missing munitions:

"Our military is now investigating a number of possible scenarios, including that the explosives may have been moved before our troops even arrived at the site. This investigation is important and it's ongoing, and a political candidate who jumps to conclusions without knowing the facts is not a person you want as your commander in chief."

What about jumping into a war without knowing all the facts?

Remember, the munitions story is really only important as part of a broader set of facts that lead one to believe that we did not invade Iraq to guard weapons or to prevent terrorists from getting at those weapons. If we had invaded for the stated reasons, we would have had the troops necessary to seal the border and secure all major weapons sites. Bush also suggested that Kerry's criticisms were denigrating to the troops. Ridiculous. This munitions issue is about the leadership, not the troops. That much is wildly obvious.

Forget jumping to conclusions. This campaign may have just jumped the shark.
