E, I think we should all just remember the Good Old Days at SI as heady and intoxicating and wonderfully stimulating--as something very special that a lot of us went through together. I don't think those days can be replicated, because not only was that a time really at the beginning of the Internet and chat rooms, when pedestrian things like learning HTML for example was thrilling because it was novel, but also a time of more optimism about the stock market and life in general.

There also was a downside--many people got kind of sucked into living at SI and places like it 24/7, or as close to that as humanly possible. I remember spending so much time online that I forgot to pay our utility bill, and one Friday evening the power just totally went off at our house. That was really a wake-up call for me that I had overindulged in this electronic fantasy world.

It is very hard to cope with the political situation without too much anxiety. Do you have any tips on doing that?
