Janice, Sorry for the poorly written reference I made to ‘being a Muslin’. You see I forget that many other people do not know the obligation that a Muslin individual has to his family/religion. Tony's family had other plans for him other than what he wanted to do in life. You are aware of his family, and their tie to terrorist groups? For some reason I don't know about, I could not find in my research, he left school. Here is an excerpt that goes a bit further to explain what his family is all about: “Anthony & Khaled Elgindy's father is Ibrahim Elgindy, who founded a consortium of Muslim organizations in Chicago and spearheaded a protest in 1998 on behalf of Muhammad A Salah, who is linked to Hamas. The Elgindy's seem to have some 'charitable' interest in the Balkans-Anthony Elgindy imported a number of refugees from the Balkans and helped them settle in the US. This is of concern since al Qaeda also was operating in the Balkans and used charityorganizations for its purposes. “
Excuse the above typos but they are a part of this news article so I cannot change them from the original. Did you notice the reference to Al Qaeda? I have read this in other news releases, and the other news releases were NOT related to Tony Elgindy. It seems that it is common knowledge that this Muslin organization has a base in the Balkans.
__________________________________________________________ Janice, In the following news article, that was released by the Dow Jones AP back on July 16, 2003 please note the paragraph containing the statement by his webmaster, Hansen that states that the information used by Elgindy and his compatriots to short companies was NOT common public information. Here is the article: Defendant pleads guilty in FBI insider trading case Dow Jones/Associated Press Jul. 16, 2003 02:29 PM NEW YORK - A webmaster pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of conspiracy to commit securities fraud in a case that involves the alleged use information from FBI databases to trade stocks. Robert Hansen was charged as part of the Anthony Elgindy securities fraud case in the Eastern District of New York. Short-seller Elgindy, two FBI agents and three others are accused of using information obtained illegally from FBI databases, mostly to sell stocks short. Hansen, who was Elgindy's webmaster, is the second defendant to plead in the case. Last year, Derrick Cleveland pleaded guilty to racketeering. Like Cleveland, Hansen is now cooperating with the government. Hansen appeared in court Tuesday. As part of his plea, Hansen said that he and others "obtained material nonpublic information which they used to make decisions regarding whether to purchase or sell the stock of companies." As part of the conspiracy to use nonpublic information to trade stocks, Hansen said that Elgindy founded Pacific Equities Investigation and two related Web sites to help spread information about the companies targeted. Elgindy, the two former FBI agents, Jeffrey Royer and Lynn Wingate, former trader Troy Peters and fund manager Jonathan Daws have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
suite101.com “After a stunted education at the University of Southern California and San Diego State University, Elgindy started peddling stock in 1988 at Blinder, Robinson & Co., which was then being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission for foisting shoddy stocks onto unsuspecting investors.”
Janice, This information regarding Elgindy’s education came from the suite 101 discussion thread. This is NOT the only place I have read reference to Elgindy having any sort of higher formal education. I have read a more in-depth account of his education, in another newspaper account of him, but cannot find this particular article right now. As I said in the earlier post something else came up in his life to cut his college time short. _____________________________________________________________ By the way: buydomains.com InsideTruth.com is for sale.
