Keith, even IBM will be able to manage good yields on low to reasonably binning Semprons.

- I don't think they'll ever get to produce Opterons because IBM is main party in selling mid range servers (agree with TGP here).

- I agree with you that they need to have parts produced in large quantities with high yields with the right bins before making any announcement, but I want to de-emphasize 'right bins' because for Sempron they don't need to be at top frequency. Low to mid frequency (1.8-2.2) will do fine H1 05. Also I think the probability of that with AMD-IBM joint process design and Ruiz now at the wheel greatly increase the chances that any announcement is done after good yield, ok binning, is accomplished. Finally the IBM output for customers like nvidia are finally greatly increasing.
