Jeff

I have no actual experience with Tek printers. I do know that the
printers are expensive and are aimed at offices and businesses. If the busines you are thinking about is the HP and Epson home ink jets
(such as the HP 600 and 800 series or the Epson 400,600, and 800 series) then the TEK printers are not in this market due to their price point. In the less than 500 dollar home ink jet market the major players are HP, Epson, Canon, and Lexmark. In the market area that Tek is in (I'm guessing it's a price point of 1000 to 3000 dollars) the players are Tek HP and... I don't know who else ...
maybe Fargo electronics dye sub units are significant. At any rate the market size (in dollars) for the small home ink jets is about 10 times the size of the higher end business. (However, I think the higher end printers have a much better margin.)I look forward to hearing more from in regard to your interest in the printer market.
