POLIPUNDIT - Senate Races

I now believe that it is possible that we will sweep NC, SC, GA, FL, LA, and SD.

Tom Coburn has pulled ahead in Oklahoma. Pete Coors presently leads in Colorado.

The final question is what happens in Alaska, and I expect the President to pull Lisa Murkowski through to victory.

Florida and Pennsylvania

Excellent news in these two battleground states.

Pennsylvania

President Bush has pulled ahead in the state of my birth. He leads Kerry 49%-47% among likely voters. The incumbent leads in the Philadelphia suburbs, the most critical region in the Commonwealth.

Meanwhile Senator Specter has hit 60% in his bid for a fifth term in the United States Senate.

Three days ago I thought that Pennsylvania was a lost cause, that President Bush was certain to lose the state again. However his 40+ visits seem to be paying dividends. Were the President to win Pennsylvania, it would ensure his victory.

Florida

President Bush has pulled ahead by 3 points in Florida, reflecting the lead that the incumbent has taken as of late in the Sunshine State.

Meanwhile Mel Martinez has an identical 49%-46% lead in the Senate race.
