train wreck du jour: Peet's Coffee jacks up prices... Effective October 29, 2004, we will raise prices on brewed coffee and espresso drinks, hand-selected teas, and select whole bean coffees... ... a selection of our fresh whole bean coffees will increase $1.00 per pound and our teas will increase $.50 per package... The reason for the price increase is simple: during the last four years our costs have risen significantly, and at an even sharper rate more recently. peets.com i'm sure Mish can explain why this is really deflationary. btw...Peet's is much better than SBUX
