They had a pretty good segment on "election reform" on the Diane Reim show on NPR today. Some guy named John Harwood from the WSJ and another guy who's name I didn't catch. Both noted their would be numerous poll watchers from both parties, and suggested that Republican poll watchers who venture into some of the more, errrr, URBAN locales in the industrial midwest (Cleveland was mentioned specifically) may run into conflict if they conduct themselves too aggressively (which appears to be part of the battle plan, unfortunately). One can easily imagine some rather heated and perhaps violent incidents breaking out. Maybe we need to get the UN in to insure a fair election.....<G?>

I plan to be in and out of the polls at my inner city Phoenix precinct by 5 minutes after the polls open , so I'll probably miss out on the fun.
