I'm looking for a little dog....... You might consider a miniature Pincher, as in a half of a Doberman Pincher, the nice half. Sweet lap size dog, affectionate. My son & his wife have this one and a mini-dachsund and a std-size Black & Tan Dachshund. The min-Pin has a smile that looks almost exactly like Elvis Presley's sneer/smile/flirt look. Cracks people up every time they see it. She even does it on command. I don't know if there are pictures or where, but it's worth a hunt if you want a small dog. She loved to chase squirrels away from the bird feeder in "her" yard. Then I found out that half the time she was racing them. I've watched her charge th bird feeder and chase a squirrel, then pass it and stop short at the yard's fence and turn around and look for the squirrel. Naturally, when the dog passed the squirrel, the squirrel turned abruptly and got to a tree before race dog could recover. I wish I had video-taped one of the races and the Elvis smile. All this happened in Maryland when I lived with them. Last year I moved to Reno and the rest moved to Hawaii with my son's job. Good luck finding a wonderful and compatible pet. I'm sure a loving and playful pet can enhance your health. I lived with my son and his "family" for 16 months and lost 80-lb (from 365 to 285 without trying). Since moving to Reno and not able to have a pet, I've gained 52-lb back. Woe is me! Chas :-)
