One correction: What I gave TLC was specifically described as a gift. My part. There was one othe person who contributed to the fund; they have to speak for themselves.

Now I don't actually know if the situation described to me by TLC was accurate or not; I had no way of knowing and knew that. You pays your money and you takes your chances. Now maybe I was defrauded; maybe not. And maybe the real situation is a lot more complex than anything described here.

In any case, I gave TLC the money; I didn't loan it to him and I am not entitled to recovery.
