But wait, it gets even stranger:

"he approached me via p.pm. probably four other times since then, almost always with a sob story. his wife left him. his trading partner blew up yet another account. big money coming, but delayed."

When TLC refers to "The Partner Who Blew...", is he referring to the student?

My own experience: I was never informed that there was a student. Yet, the student, too was shagged with the "My Partner Who Blew..." line. So, who's the other "partner"? Looks like one didn't even exist. Both student and I got the same story, but the student and I were the only ones with money in the account. The "Partner" kept blowing it up, remember? So, the only money in there would have been mine and the student.
