Spoke to a friend of mine who has been working for Duke Power Co. for quite a long time...I asked him if he knew what BPL was and if Duke was involved in any way...he looked at me strangely and asked "how do you know about BPL"...Told him I have been looking in to it....he seemed surprised as he thought not many people have ever even heard of BPL...anyway, Duke has never gone public saying they are working with this technology, but my friend told me that Duke just got done setting up an area for BPL service, which they are testing out not only for internet, video, voip and etc, but moreso for the technolgy that BPL provides to power companies that enables them to pinpoint problems and save them alot of money in the long run......My guess is many major power companies are dabbling in BPL to see what it can do for them....However, impossible to find out which companies the power companies are working with, unless they go public with the info.....
