CRB is weighed down by foodstuffs
take out food, and the CRB is rising more quickly

soybeans went from over 1000 this past winter to 500 something now
ditto on grains, corn wheat etc
good crop output

here is the twist
higher energy prices result in final food product prices not going down
fertilizers, heating costs for ranchers on livestock, farm machinery fuel
translates into steadily rising food costs

the CRB reflects only raw materials
CRB segment by segment is more revealing
industrial metals up up, precious metals up up, energy up up, foodstuffs flat
cocoa flat, coffee flat, cotton down

unsure if scrap metal, scrap plastic, scrap carboard are in CRB
anyone know?
