Now here's an instructive (and recent!) example: :o)

Typical pinhead nonsense.....

This is easily identified as name calling.

Jean Francois Kerry is a pompous, lying, traitor and gigolo.....by any measure....

This, however, is OK by me. It is a simple statement of opinion about some third party or outside situation. Each reader simply chooses the weight to assign to it: from 0.00 to 1.00.

I suppose I do feel that it is baiting the reader and in that light should be considered inflammatory and not really a discussion, but, oh well...

Any questions?
