I would suggest that judging what might very well be a widespread and long-term series of requests for money based on hard luck stories as okay simply because they were not reported as TOU violations at the time is illogical.

First, I would hope that SI does not condone panhandling of any type based on it being wrong-- a situation ripe for advantage-taking-- rather than ignored (until now) by SI members.

The fact that it went on in private, individually, and often with the express request that it not be repeated to others was quite likely the reason it was not reported until now.

And make no mistake, I am hereby reporting it.

I believe this case clearly falls in line with SI's obligation to protect, as history of protecting, its members from stock scammers and nuisance advertizers, and the verbally offensive (in some cases.)
