Those avenues aren't nearly as easy to use in a systematic and predatory way for six years going on now. A "confidence man" working a room of SI clientele in a private environment has significantly easier target-rich enterprise.

None of us knew, and how would we? I only knew about Michal's situation a couple years ago, by accident. And, the contents of this thread have been a surprise to each of us, on an individual level. Nobody knew till we all got together to swap circumstances.
