Just wanted to give a heads-up that after the close today, I expect to roll out the beginnings of Ignore. Can't do it during the day because it impacts readmsg, which I can't risk breaking during market hours.

This initial version will only "Ignore" public messages written to or by someone on your Ignore list, if you've got Ignore toggled on and you're reading messages one at a time. You'll still see the author's and recipient's name and all that, but the text of the message will be replaced with "Ignored Message" which is a link that you can click to read the message if you like.

This method will later be applied to batch message-reading, and I'll also later add PM-blocking so an ignored author can't send you a PM.

Ignore is toggled off for everyone by default. If you go to Options, you can currently toggle it, but it won't have any impact until I roll this out this afternoon.

We're going to try this out for a while as a nice and simple implementation and see how it works. It's not going to have the subtleties like "I want to ignore messages written by this person but want to see replies to his messages".

When I get the other two aspects (PM-blocking and ignore functionality in batch reads) finished, an Ignore will simply be an on/off switch for that user. And you'll be able to quickly and easily toggle Ignore on and off by going to your Options screen. Turning it off won't do anything to your Ignore List.

Edit: A lot of free members have Ignore lists. Ignore is going to be a Premium feature, so I'll soon (days from now if not sooner) be erasing the Ignore lists of free members.

I'm also going to have to impose size restrictions on Ignore Lists. Some people have Ignore Lists with over a thousand entries.
