As long as there are suckers there will be conmen(women)to play the game.

The reason for not filing a complaint at the time it occurred versus years after the fact is simply...embarrassment.

When others finally come forward, like sexual abuse by the priest, the embarrassment part is no longer an issue and everyone can jump on the bandwagon.
