That's why I'd like to see Kerry win - these people will be able to come forward, and will be encouraged even.

A rapid, and ruthless inquiry is needed. Save the "unification" for later - first a radical shake up of politics is needed - if there is any closing of ranks to be done between Republicans and Democrats after a Kerry win, it should be for the purpose of actively and mercilessly seeking the truth - the real truth, and punish those which deserve punishment.

With any luck the particular brand of "conservatism" (completely opposed to my own) which made it possible to subvert justice and so thoroughly screw the American people, and the world, will be destroyed.

An ideal outcome, in my mind, would be to see names like Wolfowitz, Perle, Rumsfeld, Feith, Cheney, and yes Bush, be associated with the same antipathy that Nixon got for years after his ouster. Then the Republican party can rebuild their base and around a different basic ideology as it relates to the world.
