As for slavery, you realize that the Civil War wasn't even about that until Lincoln issued the E.P. in the third year of the war? Not to diminish the importance of that issue or the wrongness of that institution, but I'd rather not see history revised just for the purposes of political correctness. According to Lincoln, as much as he wanted the Civil War to be about something else, he knew that it was ultimately about slavery. I hear what you are saying but I wasn't willing to dispute the nuances with Ten. It was about slavery but it was also about two different ways of life. ted
