Now why does Osama Bin Laden want Bush to lose (read: Kerry to win) even going so far as to use the same exact taunt that Kerry and Michael Moore used (by continuing to read 'My Pet Goat' to schoolchildren for 7 minutes) to attack Bush? Could it be because OBL is desperate and knows that John Kerry will not only call for a grand summit and give his troops time to regroup, but that John Kerry will also most likely cut and run if they keep the pressure on by alternating between overtures of fake truces and ratcheting up the violence to agitate and keep off-balance the anti-war leftwing fanatics who anchor John Kerry's domestic political base? The fact that the military despises John Kerry and overwhelmingly supports Bush must also figure into OBL's calculation since he benefited the most from the way that the US military became very risk-averse during Clinton's 8 years when he treated terrorism narrowly and rigidly as a law enforcement and intelligence issue. That practically allowed OBL to become a romantic folk hero in the Arab world and allow Al Qaeda to recruit broadly and deeply across the Muslim world (1B+ population).
